01

Who this policy covers

Our privacy policy applies to anyone who visits our website, uses the request form, contacts our team or receives messages from us. It does not cover how lenders handle your data after we share it.

We operate a free loan-matching service that connects people seeking $500 to $5,000 with lenders and lending partners. Because the service exists to share your request with lenders, sharing is central to how it works, and we describe it plainly below. Each lender that receives your information has its own privacy policy, which governs what it does with that information. By using the site or submitting a request, you agree to the practices described here.

02

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, information gathered automatically when you browse, and information from partners that help verify identity, prevent fraud or match requests.

Information you provide on the request form or when you contact us may include:

  • Identity and contact details: name, date of birth, home address, email and phone number.
  • Loan request details: amount requested, purpose and preferred contact method.
  • Financial details: income source, monthly income, employment status, housing status and pay frequency.
  • Identifiers some lenders require, such as part or all of a Social Security number or a driver's license number.
  • Bank details lenders may request for funding, such as account type and routing information.
  • Anything you include in emails, calls or letters to our team.

Information collected automatically includes your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, approximate location based on IP, and the date and time of your visits. We may also receive data from identity-verification, fraud-prevention and marketing partners to confirm that a request is genuine and to measure how people find our site.

03

How we use your information

We use your information to process your request, match it with lenders, communicate with you, protect against fraud, improve the site and meet legal obligations.

  • Sending your request to lenders and partners that may be able to make an offer.
  • Contacting you about your request by email, phone or text, where you have agreed to it.
  • Detecting and preventing fraud, identity theft and misuse of the service.
  • Analyzing site traffic to fix errors and make pages easier to use.
  • Sending marketing about financial products, which you can opt out of at any time.
  • Complying with laws, regulations, court orders and lawful requests.

04

How we share information with lenders and partners

When you submit a request, we share the information you provide with lenders, lending networks and partners in our network so they can decide whether to present an offer. Those parties may contact you directly.

Lenders that receive your request may verify your information with credit bureaus and other data sources, and they may keep it under their own policies even if you do not accept an offer. Partners that do not match your request may share it with other lenders in their own networks. We also share information with:

  • Service providers that host the site, send emails and texts, store data or provide analytics, under contracts that limit their use of it.
  • Fraud-prevention and identity-verification services.
  • Government authorities or other parties when the law requires it or to protect rights and safety.
  • A buyer or successor if our business is sold, merged or reorganized.

Our advertiser and lending disclosure explains how lenders compensate us for these referrals.

05

Cookies and tracking technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels and similar tools to keep the site working, remember your choices, measure traffic and show relevant advertising on other sites.

Strictly necessary cookies let pages and the request form load and submit correctly. Analytics cookies tell us, for example, that many visitors leave the form at the income question, so we can make it clearer. Advertising cookies and pixels help us understand which ads led someone to the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and some browsers let you send a Global Privacy Control signal; blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

06

How we protect your data

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls and limits on who can view sensitive data.

Information sent through the request form travels over an encrypted connection. Access to stored data is limited to staff and service providers who need it for their jobs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Please protect your own devices and never share passwords with anyone claiming to represent us.

07

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal and record-keeping requirements, then delete or de-identify it.

Request records are generally kept for several years because financial-services and consumer-protection rules can require proof of consent and of what was shared. Basic analytics data is usually kept for a shorter period. Information already sent to a lender is retained by that lender under its own schedule.

08

Your choices

You can opt out of marketing emails and texts, limit cookies, and ask us to access, correct or delete your information, subject to legal exceptions.

  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Text messages: reply STOP to any text we send.
  • Phone calls: ask to be placed on our internal do-not-call list.
  • Lenders: contact each lender directly to opt out of its communications.

Opting out of marketing does not stop messages needed to handle a request you have already submitted.

09

State privacy rights

Residents of some states have additional rights under state privacy laws, such as the right to know, access, correct or delete personal information and to opt out of certain sharing.

Depending on where you live, you may be able to request the categories of information we collect and share, a copy of specific information, correction of errors, deletion, and an opt-out from the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Some financial information is covered by federal law instead of state privacy laws. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent, and we will verify both your identity and the agent's authority before acting.

10

Children and changes to this policy

Our service is meant only for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 and will delete such information if we learn we have it.

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we make material changes, we will post the revised policy on this page and, where required, notify you. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised policy applies.
